It works but wish it would have another hole for different adjustment to slide further in the boat. I did drill one and that worked out great.

This is a very good quality mount. It’s made of thick steel, the paint is really nice with no obvious imperfections. The included hardware is good. It’s fairly easy to install and makes my little jon boat a lot more functional.

This quick disconnect is a game changer. Before I had this the trolling motor on our pontoon was fixed mount. It protruded about two feet into the pontoon on the floor. We were constantly stepping around and over it. It was used more for if our main motor quit for some reason so we could use the trolling motor to get back to the dock. Now we can actually take it off and mount it on the railings on the outside of the pontoon. If we need it it will take just a few seconds to slide it onto the quick disconnect mount and be ready to go.Made of heavy duty steel. Took all of five minutes to put the top plate on the trolling motor using the four included bolts and nuts. The pontoon is currently out of the water and will be getting a new floor so the bottom plate will get mounted in the spring with the included hardware. This does not come with any instructions but they are easy to find on the Minn-Kota web site if you feel you need them but it’s a pretty straightforward process. Considerably cheaper than the OEM version and still high quality. Excellent value at the price point!
