1998 Cherokee XJ with a Rough Country Front Forged Adjustable Track Bar for 84-01 Jeep XJ/ZJ/MJ - 1042 installed 2019. Rough Country makes good metal beefy components especially for the price but their bushings are always known to be low quality. They were cracked and worn out in a few years causing play on both ends of the RC track bar. I also do live in Northern Utah (dry weather) but only did minor offroading occasionally.Found YouTuber Whip Tips that used these bushings to replace/upgrade the stock RC ones. I didn't want to get replacements from RC. You do have to drill out one set of bushings and reuse the RC 12mm sleeve for the top frame side mount. I used a rented ball joint press kit (used sockets to pretty out RC bushing) and used a 3/4 drill bit, chamfered the insert side holes of the bushings with a box cutter, greased then used a rubber mallet to fit the sleeve in tight. RC forged track bar uses 10mm bottom and 12mm upper bolts. Hopefully these bushings will last a lot longer vs RC stock bushings. Improved tightness and stability of front axle 👍🏽🤙🏽Other option is buying a Iron Off Road 12mm bolt bushing and sleeve that Whip Tips eventually changed the top mount side to. It shouldn't be necessary if you drill and fit the RC 12mm sleeve in tightly.

good quality. As many others had pointed, the center pin hole is slightly larger than the stock track bar bolt. For my application, it worked out great since I was upgrading the bolt anyways. If you watch Bleeping Jeep (youtube channel) Matt has a great video on how to upgrade this bolt. The stock bolt is not strong enough once you start lifting things. If I recall correctly I used a bolt I had removed from a stock shock, it is about the perfect size. I just needed to drill out the stock hole on the axle bracket. If you are lifting the jeep on your own (AS much XJ owner do) you should be able to tackle this project. As far as bolting the nut, I didn't use a wrench, there is a small opening on the bracket where you can insert a flat screwdriver (Paralelt t othe axel tube) and jam the nut. This allows you to tighten it up to spec.

Unfortunately, my aftermarket tracker came with a larger bolt size, so these original size bushings were too small (That was my fault though, I should have figured that out before purchasing). Thankfully, I was able to borough out larger diameter holes and got them installed. I've been driving around on them for about a month. So far, so good.

Good quality, easy installation. Even if you take out the old bushing the hard way, with hammers, sawzalls, screwdrivers, knives, and a torch, these babies will slip right in and bolt up tight. (Note: the old bushing is meant to be pressed out as a unit. Unless you have a ball joint press handy, the old one is a booger to get out. Be careful!) This Moog bushing is good quality. Nice stiff polymer material and a new interior metal bushing. Clamp them in with a generous flat washer and you're smiling. They made the busing into two piece for idiots like you and me who take out the old bushing the hard way. Once installed it's nice and stiff. No more steering clunk or body roll like the old worn out track bar bushing!
