Good quality fit my oversized xl mummy sleeping bag and compressed it to a more manageable size.

First, this is totally acceptable for the current price of $12.99. Anyone who spends much time around camping and hiking gear knows the sky's the limit on pricing for many products. So this is a solid purchase but could use some improvements. Perfectly acceptable for a casual camper or someone packing with limited space.Potential improvements1. Mine had some small holes around the stitching from the manufacture process. This is normal enough for a product in this price range, but it does impact water resistance and longevity2. No flap to go over the contents underneath the drawstring, which means the end/opening of it is not water resistant or dust resistant at all.3. I would prefer a small actual handle rather than having to grab at excess strap4. Slip buckles mean this can be a major pain to do and undo frequently. Using a cam buckle instead, or even a quick release in conjunction with the slip buckles, would make this much less annoying to deal with every night and every morning.Again, this is surprisingly decent for the price, though it won't be my first choice in some scenarios.

This is a Nylon bag that compresses the contents with 2 Nylon web belt straps that criss-cross over the top and bottom, and are tightened with 4 slip buckles (like you have on your backpack straps). These vertical straps are held in place by a horizontal strap a few inches above the bottom of the bag. There's a drawstring at the opening of the bag, as well. The straps cross over at the top and bottom of the bag, so you have to move them out of the way to put your items inside; this is not a problem.Once the items are inside and the drawstring is closed, pull up on the straps one by one to make the bag shorter. Keep pulling the straps in turn until it won't compress anymore.Depending on the density of the items, you'll compress it down 40 to 60%. Something like a pillow will compress more, shirts and pants (heavier, thicker clothes like denim) will compress less.It will only compress the bag to make it shorter, not thinner, because the horizontal belt that holds the vertical belts in place doesn't have a tightening buckle.
