I like the look of this hummingbird feeder and bonus for metal base and feeding flowers.

I bought this along with a different one as I couldn’t quite place my hands on my other feeders, I was a little late in putting them out this year as I was out of town for an extended period, as soon as this arrived and I made up the sugar water, it only took 2 days for the hummingbirds to return! The feeder is made of thick sturdy glass with an attractive pattern on, cleaning is really easy, easy to fill and it has a long handle making it easy to put up on the hook and it doesn’t swing about in high winds with it being heavy, you can put quite a lot of sugar water in, but changing it regularly, there’s no need to fill it to the top, unless you only have the one feeder. It’s great to sit and watch the coming and goings of the hummingbirds and their squeaking while they are feeding. Very happy with my purchase and good value for money.

Llevo meses usando mi comedero y nunca se ha oxidado ni maltratado. La gente que califica mal porque se les oxida es porque no lo limpian diario, o compran nectar y sólo lo rellenan, lo cual sería malo para los colibríes inclusive si fuera de plástico. Diario hiervo agua en tetera eléctrica, lo lavo bien con el agua caliente, ni siquiera uso jabón, y les hago su nectar yo mismo con azúcar y mi propia agua del garrafón, NO AGUA DE LA LLAVE. Tampoco se pasen. Quieren ver colibríes pero no cuidarlos. A mis comederos llegan muchísimos cada pocos minutos, inclusive ignoran los de los vecinos que le ponen néctar comercial, que les hace daño. No sólo compren para darse gusto a ustedes, es para los colibríes.

Hasta ahorita solo lo he llenado con agua porque quería hacer la prueba de ver si se derramaba o no, ya lleva un mes, casi no ha perdido nada de liquido.Por el momento esta en la cochera arriba de una mesa pero seria mejor ponerlo en el jardín con buena sombra, creo que el sol puede dañar la parte plástica con el paso del tiempo.

Aunque la funcionalidad es la misma que cualquier otro producto, el diseño es bonito. Los materiales son de calidad, y se ven bien. Llevo 1 mes con el producto, ya sería ver que tan duradero es.

This feeder is very attractive and holds a good amount of nectar (2+ cups), but the squirrels quickly figured out that they can tilt the feeder slightly and the nectar will seep out around where the plastic bottom meets the metal disk. The good thing is that they haven't been able to drink enough where I've had to replace the nectar more often than weekly, which is already a long interval to be leaving it in there. I'm going to try to design a gasket or guard of some sort to go around the circumference and prevent them from doing this.After a few months there are some spots of discoloration on the underside of the metal disk, but no signs yet of rust or any foreign matter entering the nectar. The feeder is very sturdy, the aforementioned squirrels have knocked it off the hook twice so far and it's survived the 5 foot drop both times. This only happened because I was using an ant moat (which I would strongly recommend purchasing the moment you notice ants on the feeder) and the hooks on it were too open, so I closed them up a bit with pliers.Overall this is a very nice feeder and I'd 100% recommend it if you don't have squirrels in your area. If you do have squirrels it's still a great feeder, but be prepared to make some modifications if you want to keep them from getting fat on your nectar.Final note - DIY nectar can easily be made by dissolving 1/4 cup granulated sugar in 1 cup water. Don't put dye in it (the red feeder will be more than enough to attract any passing hummingbirds) and don't waste money on pre-made nectar, it takes literally 2 minutes to make at home.

I was so happy when this arrived. It's beautiful.I was standing at my front door one afternoon on the phone when something caught my eye. I noticed something tiny, fluttering and hovering in front of a gate archway I have with a climbing flowering plant all over it. When I took a closer look I discovered it was a hummingbird. To my surprise I realized I had never seen one in real life before as I had no idea they were so tiny. It was the most beautiful and cutest thing I had ever seen. I now wanted desperately to attract them to my yard so ran inside and immediately searched online for hummingbird feeders. This was the one I found and fell in love with. It's so pretty. The colour is perfect and the glass makes it so much more special. I don't like the look of the plastic ones. It was also actually a lower price than some of the plastic ones. It is great quality and arrived the very next day in great shape. Packaged well and Very easy to assemble. I might just have to order another one.
