These are really nice, completely solar. It "times" itself, comes on automatically when the sun goes down and I found that with a full charge, they are still illuminated at sunrise. Really nice on my covered patio.There is no remote control, it controls itself automatically. MAKE SURE that you open the bottom and switch it to the "on" position to activate the light. After that, there is zero maintenance, nothing to manage.I love the variation in the height and hope that these have a long life because I intend to get lots of use out of them. Fantastic value for the money!

While these candles are not as real-looking as some of the ones you get for indoors, they are perfect for the garden. I have them on a round table in the lower part of our garden (we live on a hillside), and it makes the table look magical at night. I have only had them a few days, so it is too soon to say how durable they are...but it has been storming a lot these past two days and so far, so good.

This is a case of my ex. Looks good in the dark, but in the light is a little more bulky than I'd like. What I find interesting is that I have dozens of solar gizmos for my yard, but they all have solar cells that are unsightly. Wherever the cell is on these candles, I can't see it!

These outdoor solar candles are better than I was expecting.The candles are made well. The plastic is not overly thick, but it is strong and sturdy. I appreciate that the candles are waterproof so we can use them outside on our patio.The flame flickers nicely and looks quite real. The flame color is NOT that terrible orange tinted flame that many flameless candles have. Instead, the flames on these candles is a warm white color that looks like the color of a real candle flame. NOTE: The "flames" are just plastic and you don't really even see them (which is good). They are lower in the candles so it makes them look like the candles have burned down a little. I like the look.The candles are very easy to use - just place them in bright sunshine to charge, and they turn on automatically at dusk and turn off at sunrise. Depending on how well the candles were charged (how bright it was outside), the candles can stay lit all night. Since there are no batteries to replace, I only hope the candles will continue to work for years to come.I really appreciate the large size of these candles. They are going to look great on our patio when the weather gets warmer. For now, were using them indoors (charging them through southern exposure windows).Overall, I am happy with the quality and style of these flameless candles. I hope to continue using them year-after-year.PROS:- Made well- Waterproof, can be used outside all summerCONS:- Lightweight, so might blow over in strong winds

Full disclosure, I misunderstood the description so any dissatisfaction is my own fault. These flameless pullar candles are unique in that they are reverse-solar-powered. They do not need batteries and turn on automatically, but they will only turn on in dark surroundings. I got them for an indoor wedding, so I cannot use them. However, these are perfect for outdoor use so you always have a light source. They are waterproof, automatic, and look nice.
