I have other microphones I use for my cooking show on YouTube, but I wanted a clip on, discreet lavalier. This is great! I hope my battery never dies in the middle of a show, though, so i need to learn how long one will last.

Sounds great with no noise or interference and has a great range. It seems USB Class Compliant as you can use it on almost any device that supports USB Audio Class devices; you connect it and it just works, no need for drivers or any software. The sound quality is great with the included lav mic, I also have a headset over the earr style mic from Movo that I use with this and it sounds great as well. You can plug in a line level device to the beltpack as well for transmission, and monitor the output from the USB dongle through the headphone port, so it's pretty versatile and functional. The battery life is great when using rechargeable NiMh batteries, I've also used LiIon batteries and both work without any problem in this beltpack, not always the case with some equipment, but they both work well with this unit, including alkalines of course. The gain levels are strong so you can use this with virtually any microphone, even the less sensitive ones that need more gain. When applying more gain on this device it sounds fine all the way almost to the MAX, I'd say one or two notches below the maximum is the limit before noise and clipping or distortion, so try to keep it below that, but anywhere else in between sounds strong and clean.

I don’t think this USB-C microphone is technically completely wireless. There is a receiver you need to plug into your phone via USB-C, and a transmitter that requires a 3.5mm jack cable with a mic tip to record. This setup is perfect for recording audio inside my motorcycle helmet, which has cramped space. Pretty good recording quality, would recommend. Also nice that this thing came with a case for itself

This lavalier setup is exactly what I was looking for. The device plugs into a USB-C (or USB-A with an included adapter) device and, at least with my S21+ phone and older A7 tablet, functioned immediately with no need to adjust settings. I tested the audio up to about 30 to 40 feet away and it came through clear and without any distortion. The transmitter requires two AAA batteries that you have to supply yourself. In a world of internal batteries, I actually like that it uses AAA batteries, because if the power runs out it's easy to pop in two new batteries and keep going, rather than be tethered to an outlet or power bank. The only thing that didn't work perfectly in my testing was that the USB-C plug didn't far enough to work with my phone with its case on, so I had to pull the case. It's a little bit of a bummer, but on the plus side, the device sits as flush as possible (though it sticks out rather than go along the bottom of the phone). To end on a very positive note, the kit comes in a nice zippered case to keep everything together and safe. That wasn't in the description that I saw, so it's a huge plus. For the price point, case, and quality audio, I think this kit is an incredible value. Highly recommended.

I like Movo products, I have a wired mic of theirs I bought some time ago that still works. They make solid gear. This mic isn’t really a favorite of mine as it feels like it is too big compared to other wireless lav mics I have used. It runs on 2 AAA batteries which is kind of a nuisance. In the age of lithium ion batteries, going out to buy overpriced AA batteries is just not great. They add to the size and weight of the transmitter. I’ve worked sound before and with using disposable batteries, without a battery indicator you have to just waste batteries between each big and/or important gig to avoid losing the mic halfway through an important one-time event. I have seen these things fail mid wedding because of a disposable battery dying. The instructions seem like they were copy pasted from another product as they mention there being a cold shoe attachment provided and I can say I have checked and tried to mount the receiver, there is NO Cold Shoe attachment included. The receiver is going to stick out of the usb-c port. Luckily, on saving grace is, unlike another on I tested out, this receiver module worked on a short usb c extension cable (40gbps rated) so my phone could remain in the camera cage safely. The receiver still dangled since there isn’t the listed cold shoe attachment listed on the features list on page one of the instructions.Sound quality is great but I didn’t wander too far from the receiver to get a maximum distance.Connecting to the mic was seamless as the receiver does the connecting automatically and it worked in the iPhone camera app as well as other video apps.If you don’t mind risking a dead battery and carry extra AAA batteries in your gear bag with all the other things you need to worry about this can work for the average one person shoot. An actual cold shoe mount would be great to mount the receiver. The belt clip is too big to qualify as a cold shoe attachment.
