This blower works perfectly with my Mr. Heater unit, pushing warm air efficiently throughout the room. Installation was quick and easy, and the built-in thermostat helps maintain a comfortable temperature. A must-have accessory for better heat distribution!

Got my fan in this morningVery easy to installI was very pleased that it came with the mounting screws and thorough instructionsHad an old Dearborn propane heater in my mower shop. This one definitely uses less propaneI also like the fact that the switch has automatic on it so it will come on when heating up and turns off when the heater turns off on the thermostatIf you don’t own one of these heaters you need to purchase one

Like others have reviewed, this is a mediocre addition, that should never have been an option. You buy a heater to heat the room. But without some sort of circulation, you're only going to heat the ceiling. The notion that the heaters these fans were made for didn't have these installed to begin with makes you feel like you've been scammed, just a little bit. Like others, I used a box fan to move the hot air from directly above the heater around the room. But it doesn't look great, and there's a constant fan noise.Enter the Mr. Heater Vent-Free Blower AccessoryOf no fault of it's own, this was a bit difficult to install. The plate on the back of the heater, while mostly separate from the housing, was entirely too difficult to snap out of place to provide a hole for the fan to install. For me, it required a flathead screw driver, tin snips, vise grips, a file for the sharp edges, and lots of cursing.Barring this, the fan went in smoothly and the provided sheet metal screws seems to hold everything in place. But the instructions are not accurate. I realize that the fan is meant to install in multiple models of heater, but there was no wiring harness in an access hole to plug the thermostat into. I had to make an educated guess that the cap of the thermostat fit in a hole in the center of a heat shield inside the unit.Once this was figured out, I figured it was smooth sailing.Except:The fan is loud. Not continuously loud, and this is what's concerning. Several times during the first few hours of operation the rotary noise of the fan spinning grew louder and more labored for more than a few moments. Hopefully this is a result of the lubrication or some other component settling in and getting used to the heat? Normal operating noise is less than a box fan though, so this is an improvement.I wasn't sure that the AUTO mode on the fan was going to kick on. The half hour I ran it, the wall and ceiling above got extremely warm and I flipped the switch to ON just to get the hot air circulated. Later, I noticed that it was indeed coming on during AUTO mode, but I feel like the thermostat should be set to a much lower temp to turn on. This isn't adjustable, so it would need to be done in factory. It doesn't displace much air. The inlet of the fan is situated on the back of the heater. So if you have this mounted to a wall, it's going to struggle to pull the rising hot air from behind and blow it out the front. This might be perfectly sized for a 10k BTU heater, but I think it's underpowered for a 30k BTU heater.

Returned for refund. Seemed to work fine, but the Mr Heater propane vent free heater was difficult to light, plus gave off irritable fumes.

I tried a 30,000btu blue flame propane Mr. Heater without the fan. I replaced It with a new 18,000btu propane convection Mr Heater and the first thing I did was put a fan In It. It does just as well, even better for my situation than the 30,000btu blue flame Mr. Heater. I had "hot spots" that were very hot and cold spots where you could feel a chill. The fan pushes the air just enough to move It. I use less btu's because I use this fan on a smaller unit. Now, I have very mild "hot spots" and tolerable "chill spots". Both are not extreme like It was with a fan-less 30,000btu blue flame. It Is easy to Install. If you are good with a screwdriver, you can figure It out. I endorse this product.
