It's not much of a drum. My daughter is into drums/drumming, so I thought she could drum on this and make music in the tub, but it doesn't produce a nice drumming sound. It is entertaining with the maze part - but I think kids will enjoy the maze part when they're quite a bit older (my daughter is 3) and not able to manage the maze herself. The suction option is good, but my daughter actually gets upset when it sticks to the bottom of the tub when she wants to move it around. Unfortunately it doesn't entertain her for long in the tub and she prefers her other toys, but it is well designed and I like that the top comes off for easy cleaning/drying.

First off I love any toy that can do multiple things. Trying to keep my 19 month old daughter engaged with a toy is always hard enough but it makes it even worse if the toy only does one thing. I have given her a few bath toys before but most of them honestly just float or some manipulate water. I was hoping for a bath toy that would do something. This little octopus drum is great. It works as a floating toy. It also has parts that come off and can be played with separately. The tambourine top is probably her favorite. She shakes it back and forth. Shakes it and then hits it on the water. Then dunks it under the water. Then she will grab the main part of the octopus and fill him up with water and then dump him out on the tambourine part. She doesn’t much play with the drum stick portion. I have showed her several times what it does and how to use it and she can play it like a drum but she really doesn’t appear to be interested in that feature.After several baths no water has gotten inside the areas it shouldn’t in the toy. This is seriously important to my family as we living in Central Florida and mold is a real issue in our bathrooms. This toy has shown no signs of mold and still looks as great as the day she got it. I was actually surprised it didn’t looked more scratched after how many times she has banged it into the tiles and tub. Overall great toy. I am sure she would recommend it!

Like all Munchkin products, the quality is fantastic. Its a cute little drum with a plastic maze as a top that your little one can bang on with the stick.I don't think they should use the word "music" because honestly there's nothing musical about it, its just noise the little balls make.However I should mention that my toddler is at an age when just banging on this drum is too boring and the maze on top is too complicated for her. So basically there's not much she can do with it.This would make a nice gift for a younger baby.
