Bought this for my grow out chicks this winter after they got moved out of the brooder box. It seemed to work just fine The only flaw is if the power flickers it doesn't turn back on.

Terrible they do not radiate heat. The animal needs to actually sit on it to feel the warmth. Do not waste your money!

i use this for my well house. having unusually cold weather this winter, i needed just a bit of warmth and this does the job.

Reading reviews of people saying they can heat their living room or crawlspace with one of these things is laughable. I have had it on the highest setting inside a well insulated 5 cubic foot stray cathouse and can only get it to 45 on a 30 degree day. No way this thing would heat a chicken coop or open dog pen like they show. It is also advertised as indoor/outdoor and waterproof but the instructions specifically not to get it wet.

You have to turn it on everynight or after every cycle or leave it on OH , zero hours for continuous heat.I like that you can put the cooler side right on a wall.
