I purchased this replacement fob to house my original Ford electronics board and key. While the board dropped right in, the key required a fair amount of grinding and filing to fit the new fob's slot. Despite the time consuming hassle required to modify the key, the unit's low price makes it reasonable purchase.

Doesn’t come with the tool to open you’re factory key fob, it’s a tiny torx head

the shell it self is very nice and feels sturdy but I need it the shell as my old key the shell is broken but the physical key is in good condition i want it to transfer the guts and key to a new shell, but you cant you need to get the new key cut

Did the job. I was able to discard the blank that it came with and replace it with the original key in the damage fob.
