After installing one of these, I cannot tighten it. It is so cheaply made that the nut just spins freely on the center part. Don't buy these! once you get them where they need to be, you will wreck things when you try to tighten the nut.

I was replacing a jack in my sound unit with the TRS one. The jacks are well made and work as you would expect; however, the larger size caused some problems in my tight installation.

I normally don't review products that are simple, and work as they should. After reading some of the negative reviews on this, I felt compelled. I used these jacks to replace an odd size microphone jack in Drake radios made in the late sixties. I have attached before and after pictures so you can see how they compare two switchcraft jacks made in that time period. These are a good tight connection, and look and perform better than expected. The insulating material is very sturdy and impervious to heat from normal soldering. I cannot imagine any legitimate complaints.
