Length is too short and the weight is too lightPretty easy to damage the handle covering material (rubber) gets cut up easily if it hits the edge of your wood (target)

Finally found a big cross section from a downed tree to haul into our backyard for hatchet throwing. It is a very hard wood, so I appreciate that these razor sharp axes have no trouble biting into it (a larger axe I bought just bounces off). They are light and easy for all ages to throw and I appreciate the bright colors that help us find them when they sail past into our ivy covered back slope. But they get chewed up fast. The picture on the right is the set I bought 2 months ago. The blades are dinged and the handle wrappings have been sliced up and come unraveled and yes, the multiple layers of duct tape does change the weight on the axe, so it's not ideal even if they still work. The picture on the left is the SECOND identical set I bought after just 2 days of use. You can see how fast they start coming apart. We throw them 3 at a time, and usually the tears on the wrapping come from one axe nicking the handle of the other, so I guess we could extend their lives by throwing one at a time but where's the fun in that? If you can figure out how to make a super tough handle covering I'll be in love. For now, I'm willing to spend $40 every 2 months on my new hobby.
