Love my new foot with all the muscles and tendons. The Intrinsic muscles are removeable...I'll have to see how this holds up under pressure. But all in all, I love my foot. OH, BTW, It's made of a very heavy plastic and is not bendable at all. Very unlike the plastic of a plastic skeleton or body parts we in anatomy studies are used to. It's not BAD, just a different model.

This little guy is so *detailed*!You basically have a 3D version of a Gray's Anatomy illustration. Each and every facet of the anatomy is numbered, sculpted and described. You can break apart sections of the foot to see individual pieces of the nerves, tendons and fat. And all these sections fit together with notched plastic tubes that can snap into the main foot like LEGO.There's a hole underneath the heel of the foot that you can use to mount the model on the included pedestal. Somehow, the whole thing balances spectacularly on a level surface. There's no mechanism inside that locks it into place. It just hangs. It's pretty cool! You can swivel the model around to look at from different angles while you study it.The model comes with a detailed sheet the enumerates each section of the foot.Highly recommended for medical and students of the figurative arts.5 stars!

This is a amazing anatomical human foot model! It is really impressive, heavy and substantial. It is well designed and incredibly detailed. You can see all of the bones, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Beautifully painted in bright colors so you can identify the different parts that comprise the foot. Everything is numbered and it comes with a list to identify the different parts! It is nicely done so that you can see everything, remove parts and fit them back together. It has magnets and the pieces just pop back together. I have to say it is really satisfying removing parts and putting them back on. This would be a great gift for doctors, athletic trainers or anyone that enjoys science or anatomy.

I like the level of detail, and it's a great idea to have removable layers that allow inspection of deeper structures. It adds a lot to the understanding available from drawings or skeletal feet. Many of the pieces are anchored at one or more places with tiny nylon pins (think heavy fishing line), and it's not obvious which and where. So it behooves you to disassemble the components carefully to avoid breaking off any of the pins. They seem to be well attached, but can't of course withstand anything and everything. The pins fit fairly snugly; if I were using the model in a class or doctor's office, I think I might want to lubricate the pins to facilitate frequent disassembly and reassembly.Other reviewers have complained that the magnets weren't as strong as they might be. As for my model, I haven't had any trouble with pieces coming loose or falling off, so no complaints.

I have a couple of minor nits that I will start with:- packaging. Not sure how to improve this, but it was kind of a pain to get the wrap off without damaging the model.- attachment pins occasionally get dislodged when assembling the model- id paper that comes with the model. It would be nice to have this downloadable from someplace. It would be nice if the document identified the region on the model (foot) where the identified item could be found. For example, when showing the model to a more junior person, they will have to hunt all over the place to find label '36' because it is under a removable part. If they dont know the named location, (in this case, the lumbricals muscles (which has a typo on the document), it will be hard for them to find the feature on the model. So 'nits' aside, this is a nice model. The colors are consistent with other anatomical models we have, the size is not too big or small, the details are good. It might be nice to be able to strip the model to the bones to be able to see the underlying structure of the foot, but its not bad as it is.
