Great brushes for paint by number. I can get the fine lines and fill in the little detail areas easily. I like that they don't roll and the shape is very comfortable in my hand. They clean up well. I love the wet pallet and paper - it's amazing! Saves paint and the frustration of getting dried up clumps of paint. Truly will keep your paint wet for days (depending on temps) just keep the pallet wet. I already liked how things easily fit together for portability and storage. You can fit pots of PBN paint in there, too! I've done 2 PBNs and started a third, and the brushes are holding up well. Attached pics of the two PBNs I've done using the brushes (you can find these on Amazon, too!).

I got this miniature painting kit for my wife because she loves to make greeting cards for people. Honestly, she was less than impressed with this set, it didn't really seem to work well for what she does. She thought the quality of the brushes was lacking and that the set was overpriced. I realized that this set is marketed towards miniature painting, perhaps it was a bad idea for me to order this set for my wife for a different use.

In the past she had expressed an interest about trying a wet palette so I was glad to see this kit being offered. Here are her comments about the Nicpro's kit.....Brushes** A nice selection of brush sizes for detailed painting and dry brushing.** Tiny pointed brushes stay in a point during use for fine detail painting.** They clean up well and bristles return to their original shape when dry.** Brush ferrules hold tight. Handles are secure with no bristle loss.** Ergonomic handle design is comfortable and perfect for holding the brush like a pencil for fine detail work.** Included table top brush holder is an extra perk and handy to have during painting.** Packaging and brush caps protected bristles during shipping.** Canvas storage case for brushes not only protects them, but offers mobility of the brush set when painting away from the studio.Wet Palette** Keeps my acrylic paints moist after one day of storage.** Paint left alone for three days was still moist. Although the some paint had absorb moisture and were thinner, they were still usable. The fact the paint didn't dry out was very important as I save my paint for over a week or so.** Tray cover sealed very well and kept the paint moist.** Extra supply of papers and sponges a big plus.Dry Palette** Ample sections for use as watercolor paint wells and mixing areas.** Cover seals tight.Overall this is a very nice miniature painting kit that is well worth having. Given its current price point, it is a very good addition to any artist's collection of supplies..

Beautiful set. Everything you need to get started painting your figures/model kits. The wet and dry palettes are a nice addition…drybrush set too.

Great starter kit. Look into sable brushes though.
