Lighter than expected, making it comfortable to wear. Battery life was good and I only had to charge it once over 5 days of use in Mulu National Park while exploring the caves and looking for insects and other fauna at night. Powerful flood lighting and diffused light made it suitable for night macro photography. Fast charging too.

These are made in China, if it matters to anyone. I am an electronics engineer and I look at these and wish I made them. The button pressing sequence is a little odd at first but easy enough to learn. Lightweight. The brightest setting illuminates a large area. I also appreciate the low level and red options so that you aren't blinded or lose your night vision. The diffuser bag for use in a tent or for storage is a nice addition. The headstrap was set perfectly for me right out of the box, and has reflective strips at the rear which will be useful when walking along a roadside. I'll be heading to the arctic circle in early January, so I guess I'll see how well the batteries last in subzero temps, although all batteries struggle in the cold. The only thing I found that is a bit less than stellar is the automatic dimming when close to objects - it doesn't seem to be sensitive enough so doesn't always dim when you might like it to.There are a lot of headlamps on the market, many of which are much cheaper than these. With these, you get a lot of illumination and a well built and featureful headlamp for your money. I'd buy them again. I also own a Nitecore NB10000 Gen 2 power bank, which is also a lightweight and quality product. I have quickly become a fan of what this company is doing!
