Mis demas Nite rider han muerto al año de uso. El agua les entra en la usb de un modo u otro. Esta la uso con pilas recargables y cierro bien. Gracias a su empaque no he notado que se filtre agua. Parece que durara mucho. Hare uba actualizacion en un tiempo

I'm not sure of the lumens on this light but it is plenty bright for a light using standard batteries. It has a good seal and I never had any problem in water (in Ireland). I just used it in flash mode and feel it did a good job alerting drivers behind me. Somehow when getting on or off the bike I must have swung my leg over and kicked it off. I did lose it a couple of times in the past as the mount mechanism isn't tight. For this one I used a zip-tie to really squeeze closed the mechanism and keep it secure.All in all a great rear light just watch the mounting is secure.

Ordered it May 11 but didn’t get it until 6/4/2020. Why did it take over 3 weeks? Otherwise, NR bike lights are first rate. Best brand for bike lights. Works well but not durable though. Expect it to last about a year due to rain. I think Niterider rechargeables are more prone to water damage due to the sensitive electrical boards inside the unit. The design of the rechargeables do not protect it from water well. Higher priced rechargeables are expensive and have durability issues too. Paid about $13 for the battery model but rechargeables ones are $35 to $60. Just because you pay more doesn’t mean it’ll last longer. The Solas, Omega, Sentinel and Sabre models are great taillights with more power and features. Purchased them all over the past 20 years. But, if you want to be seen and don’t mind switching out batteries, then the Cherry Bomb does the job well.

Functionally this is a very nice, affordable rear bike light. I like the integrated reflector and it is properly bright with a good set of flashing modes if that's your thing, and a dimmer constant setting to avoid blinding people when riding off-road cycle tracks in the dark. Unfortunately, it is not waterproof. I had it mounted on the rear rack of my mountain bike, intending to remove it only for replacing the batteries every so often. The first time I did this (after only a few rides - it does go through batteries at quite a pace on bright mode) I found some water in the bottom of the casing so mopped it out, cleaned any grit off the rubber seal, and popped it back on the bike. 25 miles and one more wet ride later and it refused to come on so I opened it up to find rusted up contacts and a completely non functional light. So, a good light if you live somewhere fairly dry (I don't!) or if you always take you light inside and open it up to dry after riding in the rain. I have just ordered a replacement, which I will seal with vaseline on the rubber seal and tape around the lamp in the hope that it will keep working until I can get something more waterproof.

This is a great, moderately priced taillight. I've used one for commuting for a long time, and each of our three children has one for their bike. Battery lasts very long, no issues at at with rain and dirt, and the flash modus is extremely visible. highly recommended.
