Works well and quick - roughly 6 minutes for pumping out 5.8 quarts at roughly 140 degrees farenheit.

The pump itself is fine. Do NOT depend on the provided hoses to be adequate unless you have 4 hands. I bought this to change the oil in a Ford F53 Class A RV with gas engine. There is no place with room for a bottle to add oil (8 quarts) to the engine.I placed the pump on the opening of the front of the RV and connected the cables to the battery. Then I inserted the pump-out hose into the engine, the pump in hose into the 5 qt container of oil and turned on the pump. All fine for 30 seconds. Then the hose jumped out of the engine spraying oil all over the place until the hose placed in the new oil container collapsed stopping the flow as the pump jumped off of where it was laying. So I need 1 hand to hold the pump, 1 hand to hold the output hose, one hand to hold the input hose, and 1 hand to turn the pump on and off.All the hoses and fittings supplied with the pump were discarded and replaced with 3/8 inch gas line. The pump and hoses were held in their proper places with short pieces of 12 gauge solid copper electrical wire.

I like the features on this pump - the switch on the motor base, the included hoses and fittings, and the metal pump head. I was hoping to use this for oil changes or transferring hydraulic fluid, and thought this would last a few years. It did NOT last even one 10 minutes: It ran fine, began to pump fluid, and then right about 3 minutes into my first use, it just stopped running. Also the hose clamp with the yellow wing-nut/tightening clamp came apart in my hands as I was assembling the hoses to the pump. I do not recommend this product.

Before I purchased I did my research and was told over and over it was slow.P.S. - I am a car mechanicInexpensive and a good time saver. Just hook up 2 of the hoses it comes with. 1 side will go through and in the engine and the other side will go where you want the oil to go.I have used it to suck out the old oil and then used it to put the new oil in . Works very well on any car I have tried it on, but the time savings you get from draining the oil from a w car with the oil filter uptop. Can even remove the need for a jack altogether with a topof engine oil filter
