When you mount this make sure you clean the paint and maybe even use a good internal / external star washer to give you a better ground. I have worked on equipment most of my life and the number one reason regulators fail is poor ground, causing the unit to try to over charge. This regulator with a good clean mounting surface restored the charging to my unit. It charges fine now with this regulator.
