It's flimsy, cheaply made, it's not sturdy and the screws don't align. Don't buy this if you don't want to be embarrassed when company comes over. I have been trying for over 30 minutes to put this lamp together. The parts that are supposed to screw together, are difficult to screw on. I've purchased a lamp similar to this from Walmart and it didn't give me the blues the way this one is. Surely you'd think their quality is better than Walmart. It doesn't seem to be.

Arrived as advertised. Looks good, sturdy. Only thing that would make it better would be if I came with a remote. But it makes a nice addition to my living room.

I’m in LOVE with this lamp!!! The base is SOLID, and is lined with felt so out of the box it won’t rip your floors apart! The brass accent on the lamp shade is stunning. It was slightly awkward to put together by myself, but only took about 10 minutes. It did not come with a light bulb so I did try out a few until I found one I like. I would absolutely recommend this lamp, I’d buy another if I needed one.

Provides needed light over the sofa. Like the marble base and the metal arc was easy enough to put together. The bronze color of the metal shade matches our sofa and pillows perfectly. The light can be directed up, down or anywhere wanted.

As you can see by the first photo, this lamp presents well when paired with other modern furniture and artwork. I like it, but I'd like to add a few notes for potential buyers.1) Even though the stock photos show a gold-like interior to the light dome, it is just painted black inside. The second photo shows the results of me spray painting the inside antique gold. It does make a difference in the light given off.2) While many people note that the unit is 'unstable,' I would like to add that most arc lamps are inherently 'unstable' in that their very nature is rather whippy, and they are not a good choice for pet owners or children running about. These units perform best when put in a place where they will not be jostled.3) Hardware was typically cheap Chinese hardware, and care must be taken not to strip things out. But once put together with patience, everything worked out well.I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants an expensive look without the big price tag. Just be careful assembling it. (m.)
