I intend to make him a concert quality instrument for his birthday.So far. I love the quality of the tuners. They turn well, are easy to install, and look amazing. I cannot wait to finish his Gold and Black themed Ukulele. Despite it being more than I originally wanted to spend on this aspect of the project. I could not find another set of tuners I liked more.Will post pictures when I finish the instrument.

I purchased these to replace friction tuners.Grover open gear tuners require a larger diameter hole for the bushing than their friction tuners. The Ogdni bushing are a little tight, but they can be tapped in. I did use a 9/32" drill, (a 19/64" would have been better), and turned it just with my hand to clean out the existing holes.To mount them to the headstock, I used a 1/16" drill for the screw holes. I have an old hand crank drill and that worked perfect. A bit of masking tape around the drill bit was used to set the correct hole depth.The quality of these tuners seems to be equal to Grover tuners and they look really nice. All-in-all a great purchase.Note: These will not work as a replacement for Grover open geared tuners, unless a work around is done, as the existing holes will be too big.

Very smooth tuners an excellent value for the money. Definitely an upgrade over the cheap ones that were on there.

Nice heavy tuners that fit on Pono Baritone with very little adjustment from original tuner installation. So far they are working well after initial break in time and no slippage. I would only use on Baritone or maybe Tenor and only if you like the headstock to have a slightly heavier feel. Here is how they look installed, I bought them as I prefer the black & gold vs. factory silver & black.
