I have to admit to a little sticker shock when I ordered these folders. I am used to paying $1 a folder and these are currently listed for $2.20 each. When they arrived it was easy to see why. They are packaged in plastic. The folders themselves are sturdy plastic, much thicker than any I can find locally. The plastic trim reinforces the edge will will prevent splitting. The folders are slightly taller than normal, which means papers fit completely without sticking out or getting bent up.Expect these to last a long time.

I struggle with organization, but attractive organizing tools like these pocket folders make it much easier for me to WANT to get organized. This is a set of five strongly colored 2-pocket plastic folders. The bright colors make them very noticeable and eye-catching, and the plastic makes them super durable. They won't tear easily, if at all. The pockets are uniquely shaped with a diagonal cut. They are able to protect the papers inside a little better than the more traditional shorter pockets we're all used to. These folders also have reinforced edges for extra durability and longevity. The only downside I can see to these folders is that, since they're plastic, it's harder to label them by writing on them. I haven't tested this yet, but I suspect some permanent markers might work on the smooth plastic, but a better solution might lie in the use of a sticky label maker. Either way, I think that's a small inconvenience in comparison to the usefulness and practicality of this set. Happily recommended!

As more and more school work is moving online and off of paper, my students are increasingly using two-pocket folders rather than binders since they have fewer loose sheets to carry around. These, coupled with spiral notebooks or composition books really take care of their organizational needs, in my classroom at least. I like these folders because they are plastic so the hold up to the wear and tear of constantly coming in and out of a backpack. Plus, the way the pockets have the diagonal half-page, the papers they do need to carry around stay in better than a standard folder with the pockets that only hold in the bottom third of the paper. I feel like the shape of these pockets forces students to take a little more care to get the papers in correctly. The different colors allow me to color coordinate my classes for organization on my end, as well.
