Yes, the roller and the handles move independently. There are also some sort of “bearings” which make the rolling smooth and effortless. Those 2 handy features were not in the web-description.Perfect roller size: not too small not overly long either.The NonStick coating is very agreeable.Not to mention the OXO ergonomic handles.Arrived in a tick from AmazonAUSTRALIA, one of the other sellers.I could not be more pleased.

This rolling pin is great for anyone with sore or arthritic hands. It's lightweight, but it still works very well and effectively. It's very nonstick, and it's super easy to wash. The handles are quite ergonomic, and the size is great - it's much larger than I expected even.
