Liegt gut in der Hand, ist stabil, passt auch für den großen Hunger viel rein. Schleuder funktioniert tadellos, bedingt durch den komfortablen Mechanismus ist die Drehzahl allerdings nicht ganz so hoch wie bei den herkömmlichen Kurbelschleudern. In jedem Fall sind wir sehr zufrieden, eine gute und günstige Alternative, die sich als Geschenk super eignet.

Now I've looked at this salad spinner in shops and thought 'My, what a waste of money. Who on earth buys a gadget like that?'. Well, as I threw the last of the kitchen roll away the other day having used most of it to dry my salad (and in batches as well, I'll have you know) the answer to the question is ME! I buy this kind of gadget! And what a wonderful invention it is, too! I did think quite a lot before buying as I do think it's expensive for such a seasonal item and it's bulky too, but it's a yearly issue...as soon as summer arrives and salads are back on the menu there's the pain of how to dry it without soggy tea towels or using an entire kitchen roll. I was sceptical as to how efficient it'd be but I'm pleased to say it really does do the job and in a fraction of the time it takes to dry your leaves by any other method. Just stick everything in the basket and give it a good wash (you don't even have to use your colander as the basket can be used for this job!) then place it in the bowl ensuring it's sitting on the little pivot at the base, place the lid on and give couple of pushes. The break is really handy because it spins quite fast so would take a while to wait for it to stop on its own. On close inspection of the leaves they were dry!! (though still retaining those vital tiny droplets of water, thus ensuring eaters of your salad know you've bothered washing it.) Hip hip hooray!! I haven't wasted my money on a useless gadget! I was in such an excited whirl of spinning at this point that I opened the fridge searching for another food item I could spin to get my next fix...Strawberries! And spin me round, they came out dry too! Out came the raspberries and they were a success too, although I'd be careful with those as being so tender they'd be easily squashed in the spin. Mine were on the soft side and were a bit mushy afterwards. This spinner will also be great for herbs and spinach, especially as the latter cooks down to virtually nothing and so much of it is needed. Overall, if you eat salad or spinach I would highly recommend this product as it does the job well and will be used year after year. This version is rather large and I'd say suitable for family use/entertaining. I think it will be necessary for husband to erect another cupboard in which to store it but I regard that as a bonus (if only he'd feel the same) as it'll mean I'll have room for the smaller one as well which I imagine would be great if you're on your own (which I could be after the cupboard thing)/a couple or you just use salad for sandwiches.
