I love car audio. I really do. It's a passion that I've had for many, many years, though it's only in the past few years that I've been able to afford to get the gear I need. I've stepped past the standard head unit with new speakers upgrade into the world of three amps, subwoofer in a custom box, speaker pods on my dash, and miles of wiring to power and deliver signal. It's a lot of fun to get into, and a rabbit hole far deeper than I ever expected. I'm always looking for upgrades, and while I already had a digital signal processor (DSP) I wasn't impressed with the software. When I saw this was available I had to try it.So this is a cool device. Not only is it a DSP but it's also a 4-channel amplifier. I don't need the amplifier, but it's really cool that it's there. It saves a lot of space if you need a stealthy build, or just want to save some room in your car. It has both RCA inputs and high level inputs, so if you want to keep your vehicle head unit OEM but have some DSP ability this is an awesome choice. The software is really neat. There are a few things missing like shelf filters, which is disappointing, but it has a ton of features otherwise. The EQ is a PEQ (parametric equalizer), which is far better than graphic EQ that has fixed band widths. You can fully customize the sound with a PEQ, and with 31 (yes, 31) PEQ points PER CHANNEL this thing has a TON of customization. My previous DSP only had 10 points of PEQ per channel, and while those were enough for most things there were a few times that I could have used one or two more. With 31 I will probably not use even half at any time, but having it there makes me happy. The software also supports multiple crossover slopes, like LR, Butterworth, etc. There is an app for your phone as well, and on my Android it connected quickly and works great. The app allows you to make adjustments to your DSP settings on the fly. While I will use a computer for the main adjusting, it's great to have an app if you want to make tweaks without having to carry a laptop with you.The wired controller is pretty wild. It has what I believe is a 2" screen, and it lets you adjust not only the volume but several of the DSP settings as well.Dayton offers a DSP that's very similar to this one. It has less PEQ points than the Seventour, the software is much clunkier, and the app isn't very reliable or easy to use. The Dayton is less expensive, but you have to pay for the bluetooth adaptor and the wired controller. When you add up the extras it's more expensive than the Seventour which already comes with built-in bluetooth and a wired controller. My only complaint is the mounting for the wired controller. There are no screw holes for a permanent mount. It comes with a piece of double-sided velcro, and while I appreciate that being included I would much rather have a bracket or something that I can use to permanently attach this controller to something.Overall I'm thrilled with this DSP. You could use this as a one-stop shop for your vehicle: tap into your speaker lines for the high level inputs and then use the built-in amplifier. With some decent speakers you would probably have a nice, though subless, setup. Then tack on a sub amp and sub and you could have a very balanced system with a smaller footprint. For me, this has the exact number of outputs for what I need, has an amazing amount of EQ customization, crossovers, and time delay.I'll try to remember to update this review once I have some more miles on it, but until I learn any different I highly recommend!

The P48E Car Equalizer DSP is an outstanding product for anyone looking to fine-tune their car's audio system! The 31-band graphic equalizer gives precise control over sound, and with 8 channels of output and 4 channels of input, it delivers clear, balanced audio throughout the car. The included wired controller makes adjustments quick and easy, and the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) offers excellent customization for different music genres. It’s a must-have for any audiophile looking to upgrade their car audio system. Definitely worth the investment! 🎶🚗

This DSP works very well. I installed it in my car to get some more adjustability in my system. It is easy to use and works very well. I was able to have separate outputs for my midranges and tweeters with individual crossovers and equalizer adjustments for each speaker. The time compensation is super easy to use allowing you to just put in the distance each speaker is from the listening position and it figures out the delay for you.
