A very good deal for 2000 feet of bury tape to protect water lines underground ! The ones I've seen are usually only 500' in length but these are double that each. For less than 25 bucks per roll, it's a great buy.

We will be running a lot of water lines across our camping property and I wanted some tape to bury with the lines. I chose this based on the price because it is much lower than other places I found. It's not the same as electric line tape which is plastic. This water line tape is made out of a laminated PET/ foil/polyethylene mixture, with aluminum. The aluminum helps detect the tape (water lines) using a metal detector from above ground. This tape is not heavy-duty. It will tear easily if not handled gently. I carefully laid the tape in our lines and it held up just fine. Once buried, I have no worries that this tape will be effective as needed.

Unfortunately, this tape breaks easily. Once broken, it no longer becomes traceable, which defeats the primary purpose of having it in the ground with the water pipe.
