These do seem to be fairly water proof, certainly more than the kind without a zipper. However, the presence of that zipper makes it a tight fit to get full sheets of paper in. They do work well for smaller sheets and for miscellaneous items, paper and other, that you might want to tote about in a binder. Kind of like large pencil bags. Multiple uses, just maybe not for storing full sized papers.

I recently bought a fire resistant binder and then got these specifically to go in that binder. These work great for important documents for life (Doctor/Health related info, passwords, Insurance info, etc...) for both of us. I intend to build a new section for business and investing details too. I might have to buy another set of these and will if I need to. These are great!!

These work great for my husband's medical folder, going thru chemo...alot of paperwork and little notes. I like how it has like a frost to it so it's not completely see thru. Fits into any binder with 3 holes. The side zipper works easily, sometimes i can even unzip it one handed. I keep pens, mask, doctor notes, anything. They are thick and durable, will last thru alot of use. Very handy to have around, even if no binder, just use as a pouch for pencils and pens and stuff, or hold craft stuff. I use them for everything all thru the house. Great value. Well made.

I ordered these because my community organization just finished a big project with plans and records stored in a large 3-ring binder. We have to add some records to it that need to be carefully preserved. These are working out pretty well for that purpose. When they arrived, they had been folded in half with a deep crease pressed down the middle that, at first, wouldn't come out. But I put a large, heavy object on top of the stack for a few days, and that took care of it. You can still see the crease, but I think it'll finish fading out over time. They are made of fairly thick, soft plastic that is translucent and almost, but not quite, transparent. I can read through it with no trouble. The plastic feels pliable rather than thin and crinkly. It would be hard to tear it. They have three binder-ring holes on the left side and, on the right, an open side with a sliding zip lock fastener. This fastener is the only flaw I found in the design. It doesn't go all the way to the edges -- it can't or it would fall off. But that means there's not quite enough room to slide a letter-sized sheet of paper in there. I have to bend it temporarily or roll down the top and bottom edges to get it through the opening and then reach into the binder pocket and smooth the paper out with my fingers. Once that's done, a letter-sized sheet fits fine. It's just a bit of a nuisance to put it in there. Overall, they're a useful, sturdy-seeming product that serves its purpose.

These binder pockets are a full sized, which was a big reason for me too select them. Many binder pockets are smaller than this and create an odd lump inside of the binder.I have pens, envelopes, sticky notes and a few other small items inside mine right now, and because the pocket is large enough everything flattens out nicely and the binder doesn't bulge. It's also nice that they're frosted plastic and you can see everything inside. The zip is secure and doesn't pop open (some plastic zippers do).I did find that some of the corners are little sharp, I poked my hand with one. But that was likely just me not paying attention to what I was doing.
