The first thing we know about these cones is that they are very compact, fold out to full size (albeit not huge ) cones and are very effective providing a safety barrier. The next thing to know about these cones is they probably are not a good choice for everyday work-a-day cones as they are somewhat fragile. And by that I mean they pretty much can get run over by a vehicle once. Just once. (Ask me how I know :-D) . After getting run over by a vehicle, although the cone portion is typically intact, most of the base and the tip have been destroyed in one degree or another.I suppose it is not fair to expect them to be both collapsible and robust enough to be run over repeatedly like their non-collapsible vinyl cousins, but that is what we have to compare it to. Still these are ra really excellent item, and we have purchased two different sets for two different vehicles that use them to affect.
