I bought the specifically because they have the vinyl covering. I thought hanging them on the edges of my metal shelves would help prevent them from slipping. They work for my pots and pans. The utensils that came with my paws and pans must have a slightly smaller hole in the handle because it's a little difficult to get it on the hook.My complaint is: when you pick up a pan to unhook it, the hook will stay in the panhandle hole and not stay where it's hanging. I've been considering using a vice or some type of strong pliers to squeeze one side of the S so it will actually stay on the shelf instead of staying in the panhandle.

The S hooks are just the right size for hanging an assortment of things. The vinyl coating is a nice feature. Not heavy duty for hanging very heavy items, but fine for most items. Was just what I was looking for.

These are good quality hooks that are light but sturdy. They actually look like wrought iron! Will buy again!

I put up 3/4 inch conduit from chains to ceiling for my rows of plants in house for the winter.. beats a hook in ceiling for each plant.. needed to add some lengths of chain between pots for 2nd level layer ( yea I've a lot of plants...) these worked great to fit over conduit
