If you have a huge hat collection that you want to protect and store then these hat boxes are a nicely priced option. They’re easy to assemble but if you’re not using all of them they’re easy to store since they flatten. Once assembled they’re sturdy so you can stack them. The only thing is that they’re quite large so you’ll need a lot for space for even just one of them.

I found these storages boxes to be thoughtfully designed and constructed. As another reviewer noted, the velcro patches could be longer to provider more lid-to-box stability, although doing so would also make it more difficult to open the lid... I liked the label pocket on the front as well as the see-through top. The weight of the 4-pack was more than I expected and indicates the rigidity of the walls. I also liked that the extras are collapsible for storing until needed.I don't know about storing 14 caps per box -- that may be possible if they are identical makes. Mine are a mix and I think 10 is all I'm going to put in one.The instructions are clear and well-written. The box is necessarily deep (almost 18") so it's going to overhang most closet shelves. But it's attractive, breathable, keeps caps organized and dust-free. Would recommend to a friend.

The quality of these cardboard storage boxes is average. The fabric used is the typical linen-polyester blend fabric that is used for cardboard storage boxes, not the higher-quality canvas fabric. They are easy to assemble and fairly study. The stitchwork on the seams and hems is executed well (straight lines without flaws), the handles are double stitched for extra support, and the plastic window material is thick and crystal clear.The Velcro is an issue. It is poorly sewn on (single-stitched). There are 4 “hook and loop” Velcro squares on the box. All the storage bins have at least one Velcro square that has already come loose due to stitches that failed from pulling the velcro apart.The other issue is that the "hook" squares (on the lid) don't line up with the "loop" square (on the bin itself), making the lids fit flimsily. You can't pull the lids taught because the misaligned Velcro doesn’t give sufficient support and stacking boxes make the lids cave in.

I've tried many different types of storage solutions for baseball caps to accommodate my collection, this is by bar the best one yet. The fabric covered cardboard construction, although not as strong as plastic, is breathable and very closet friendly and is rigid enough to stack 4 boxes high without any signs of crushing. The see-through window is also useful for quick look to find the one you are looking for. I especially like the 14 caps capacity per box, although I recommend 12 as the max becasue14 is a bit tight and may deform the caps. At $24 for 4 well-built boxes that can hold 50+ caps, this is an excellent value for collectors.

This is a revolutionary way to store special hats. Whether it's a 1960s trucker hat or a 2010 baseball cap they will fit safely in this storage system. I've previously used a plastic clip storage, and I love how this keeps hats dust free. The window on top makes it easy to see which hats are in each unit. While they can be filled up and stacked, I've chosen not to stack them. They are made of a easy to clean material and the tops lock into place with Velcro.
