These are attractive and shine a nice, safe light on my sister's front stairs that get very dark at night. None of us can afford a fall at our ages, so we got these for her. She likes them a lot.They have held up well in the rain, and we've had over 20" so far this year. But, they will not charge adequately without direct sunlight, which is tough this time of year. So, when she thinks of it, she lifts them up onto the deck during the day. This gives it a charge that lasts several hours into the evening. It means that we can't mount them permanently, but they stand on their own very well.You can also match two of them together for an interesting and decorative round hole light effect.

After a full day of sun, the solar lights do work, but do fade by 6 AM in the morning.On a partly cloudy day, The solar lights are no longer working by 3 AM.

Got them in the afternoon. Opened the box, turned it on. After a short period, they came on!

Charged for 4 days. Press the on button and no light. Returned.
