Makita doesn’t make rail stops, I think Festool does for a lot more money. These fit my Makita rails very securely. It’s awesome to have rail stops for my track saw. These are essential when making a plunge cut to keep the saw from moving backwards on the rail. Keeping the saw stationary during a plunge cut greatly reduces the chances of kickback, potentially damaging the work, the rail, or you. It’s also nice to have two so I can have one to start the cut and the other to limit how far to cut. It’s a little tricky to set the stops in the exact spot to stop the cut, but that’s not a problem with these rail stops. It’s tricky to measure where the blade in the workpiece will stop in relation to where the stop needs to be placed on the rail to stop the blade where you want it to stop as the distance depends on how deep you set the saw to plunge. It’s also highly recommended that these be used with a rail clamp so the whole rail doesn’t move when you reach the end stop. These are fantastic!

I like these little stops for the Milwaukee (and I gather others, but I have Milwaukee) track saw. They're nothing revolutionary, but they are handy for making "housed" cuts, like cutting out a panel for a window or other opening. The few times I've needed to make a cut like that I've just clamped a scrap of wood to the track, but this is a much more elegant solution. I did have some challenge getting them onto the track - I ended up taking them apart and putting the little slider into the shot first. It's not a big deal, and probably operator error.Summary - they do what they say they will, they feel like they're strong enough not to fall apart, and they're nice to have. If I was a full time carpenter or cabinetmaker I think I'd have a set of these in my tool kit.

This is a niche item- repeated stop cuts with a track saw is an unusual woodworking operation.More likely, you have a router, or drill jig that hooks onto the track saw, and are using this for that. It's 3d printed, and you can see some of that in the finish, but it's otherwise well made.It certainly fits and performs the function. It's also low cost. Meaning that it's a good gift for someone you know who has a track saw.The overlap of people who pay enough attention to give such a gift is small. But meaningful, if that's you.

I got these rail limit stops for my trim router. These are a must have adapter for your track on your trim router. The stops fit perfectly on WEN track and they bolt in tight and secure. What a great little design to provide so much accuracy to my woodworking. These are a must have for your shop. Great value buy them!

This is advertised for Milwaukee track saw guide rails, but the Milwaukee-red colored dot is the only thing that makes it specific for Milwaukee. It will fit on Makita, Powertec, and probably some others out there. I checked it on my Powertec rails and it works very well. The stop is secure, easy to tighten and loosen. No complaints in terms of functionality. It is made of 3D printed parts but the quality looks good. I’m not sure what type of plastic material was used but it feels sturdy. I’m not worried about it breaking. It seems quite expensive for what you get, but I know that manufacturing costs for low volume parts are not cheap. There are other options on the market but they are all in the same price range, so I think it’s a fair value.
