bought this to repair my freezer myself fit exactly like the original part

Fridge working good. The metal clip was loose. I let it sit on top of the evaporator pipe. I may tape it the next time I have it apart. There is water now at the drip pan so I assume the fridge is defrosting the built up ice.

I can't believe this $7.00 part fixed our 4 year old, $800 upright freezer, but it did! If the ice cream in your frost-free freezer is more like soup, you may need this part. Check for Y**T**e videos about the problem and see how you take off 4 screws to open up the inside panel and check if your cooling unit is frozen over. I thawed out the fins with a blow dyer and bought this part because it was the cheapest one to swap out. (See the circled area in the photo). You just un-clip the old one from the cooling unit, unplug it from the wiring harness and replace with the new one. The part looks like an exact replacement for the original and our freezer is back down to cycling between +1F and -12F degrees. It has been working perfectly for two weeks without the coils freezing over again. So far, so good!
