How many times have you taken a ton of time to find and fit the proper bolt to nut. Or taken multiple trips to the hardware store to match what you need. The value, thread quality and durability of this item will keep your hair from greying early. It's too late for me...but rest assured, if you buy this you will save valuable time.

That said it work really well in conjunction with the thread testers that come on a board. It’s a little tough to check threads while on the cable they provide but paired together can really help finding those lesser known threads . Yep beats going to the hardware store and sorting through the bins with misplaced bolts etc etc

This is the most complete set that is available anywere.Not the cheapest for this set, but convenient for buying on Amazon.The markings on each thread checker are great, and the 2 different colors for SAE and metric make them easy to distinguish.The steel cable these are attached to makes use problematic. It is well over a yard long and unwieldly. No good.So I took a small wood box from a crafts store, took the set off the cable, and drilled holes in a base I made inside the box to hold them (wood or construction foam works well for this). You know each size, so just use a corresponding drill bit size to do that. Much faster to use that way as you only handle one checker size at a time. You can also visually see the sizes easier to match up your expected size.
