These lights are very easy to install, there was plenty of cord in fact I had to cut almost a foot or more off the only problem with that is the exterior cord will start fraying had to use a little tape to stop that. Once installed they looked great love to brass look.

That is correct. The cheap wire clips will not support the lamp assembly during installation. Substitute quality wire nuts. The cord twist/kink issue that so many have complained about did not affect me. We shorten the cord to about 12" for above the sink installation so the kinks were not a real issue - present but not too bad. .Mounting the globe is a counterintuitive procedure. Those really cool brass knurled screws on the black collar do NOT support the glass globe as you may justifiably think. No, that collar with brass screws fits above the glass globe - purely decorative. The glass globe is supported by a large nut. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!!!!!Wire Code:Lamp USA standard wiringBrown to BlackBlue to WhiteGreen/Yellow to bare ground.

We love the lights and brass detail. Also, I appreciate how easy it was to adjust the length after being hung. My only complaint is the cloth cord-wrapped wire. We've tried several different methods to make the cords hang straight, and they're both still kinked after several weeks. They're beautiful, but the rope around the wire makes them look cheap.
