The basic folder, wrinkles fast. Not too sturdy.

I usually buy the major brand ones in this style of file for patient charting. This one seems to be the same as the brand one, but I like the lower price!

So what does one say in reviewing a manilla file folder? Not too much! This is a bit of a specialized folder with the two fasteners on the inside and the area for labeling on one of the shorter edges off the folder. Make sure this fits your needs before you order. For instance, if you are looking to use these in a typical file cabinet, you'll probably be disappointed, since there is no tab that sticks up on the long edge that you can use for labeling.Think about this as a folder you would use to maintain a dossier of some sort. You have papers on the left side that are fastened at the top and flip up and you have papers on the right side that are fastened on the left side of the page and are viewable more like a book. Does that fit your needs? Then -- bam -- this is the folder for you. They are clearly well made with some extra reinforcement along the bottom. The fasteners themselves feel like they can be set and reset many times without fatiguing and breaking. And the Pendaflex brand overall is a quality manufacturer. So, I guess I actually said more than I expected I could about these particular manilla folders. Again, they are specialized -- but if they fit your needs, you probably cannot do better.
Wat.

ITEM: Pendaflex End Tab Fastener File FolderPROS:- The two attachment orientations is extremely helpful when keeping a variety of documents.- The material is pretty sturdy. Not heavyweight, but it’s not cheap/flimsy feeling.NEUTRALS:- I don’t have any use for the tabs, so I’m indifferent to their inclusion. Personally, I would have preferred them without.CONS:- I keep these in a filing cabinet, so I do wish that there was a landscape tab for organization.PACKAGING/GIFTABILITY: These come in a plain white paper box with sticker branding on one short side. It was sent in shipping packaging (a cardboard box in my case). Due to this I see them as directly giftable with no gift wrap necessary.WOULD I PURCHASE?: Probably, I really like the dual orientation but I really wish they had the tab option I need.CONCLUSION: These are great folders, especially when organizing various documents in the same folder due to the two fastener orientations. While I personally don’t have a use for the tabs included on them and wish that they had a landscape labeling option, I still find them to be a valuable asset to my organization. As long as you double-check that they meet your needs, I’m sure you’ll be happy.DISCLAIMER: I write completely honest reviews from actual use of the products, with pertinent information that I desire from reviews, and in the same way that I would by purchasing them directly (including considering satisfaction from a cost standpoint). I do not condone falsifying reviews by reviewing without using/testing or minimizing/ignoring neutrals or cons about the product. My reviews are updated without removing the original review if new information is discovered or if durability/use impacts the product down the road.
