Very solidly built, great clicker, really smooth drag, well built handle. Good assembly quality, few if any gaps. This reel is excellent for trolling on a saltwater boat, but not as good for casting; line guide does not move during casts and adds friction. Also, the reel has only 4 bearings compared to other casting reels with 7-10. Abu Ambassaduer Record, Daiwa inshore w. TWS system, both function better as Levelwind's with good casting capabilities in this regard. Reel does not have an auto-engaging clutch, which means that if you reel using the handle after casting or trolling, the spool will not begin taking up line until you flip the gold switch. It's well aligned to traditional salt-water fishing applications, but for an all-around reel to use both in-shore, and on-boat, there are better options available.

Delivered on time & really well made quality reel.Will be using it later this month at Whitby so will know more how it performs after the trip.

Changed most of my Reels for Penn Fathom's lever wind for my boat fishing , very nice to use and very smooth under pressure , easy to clean and keeps the braid nice and tidy . 5* Reel .
