I was hesitant to buy this because my cat is on the longer/larger size- orange tabby 15lbs. I was also fearful because he loves to scratch at furniture that looks similar to scratching post material/color, so I wasn’t sure what he would do to the woven basket material on this. He lovessss this cat tree! He doesn’t scratch at anything on this other than the scratching post, he snuggles up on the basket material, his favorite spot to lay in my apt is in the top basket of this cat tree. It’s sturdy and holds his weight perfectly fine when he jumps on/off it and when he’s laying or scratching. He was perfectly fine with me getting rid of his old cat tree (that he loved) once he had this. Highly recommend.

Did they put catnip on this before sending it? Seriously... When I first get something like this for my cats it takes a bit for them to sniff and warm up to it but I couldn't get them to leave it alone before I even had it put together!I do wish they would make taller ones in this style because it's the only one I've found that fits the aesthetic of my house and my living room needs one like this instead of the ugly one I have!I have a 8 pound cat, and it's perfect for her. My 10 pound cat however, thinks she is smaller than she is. I have this in a corner so it's not a huge deal for me. However it is not as sturdy as it could be. When my 10 pound cat (she is considered healthy from the vet. She is a calico so she is a bigger breed) it will hit the wall because it almost falls over.Overall I think it's holding up pretty well. The value is the only thing I gave less than 5 stars. I feel like because of the style it is way over priced. I can get cat towers 3x the size for 1/2 the price on chewy, they just aren't as cute.

I've had this cat post for over half a year now and here is my opinion based on daily use with one cat:I like this cat tree because it isn't ugly.My cat is a fluffy 11 lbs and she fully fills up the top of the perch when she lays in it. She doesn't overflow, and she seems very comfortable, but I wouldn't recommend this for a larger cat unless they like to overflow their laying spots. The top pillow is just laid in the basket so it can be removed to be spot-washed in a sink. I've personally been using my cat's brush to brush the fur off of the pillow and that works quickly and cleans it up well. The carpet on the inside bottom portion is not removable so if kitty pukes in there you are reaching in to clean up that mess. Why, yes, I did get to try that activity out myself. The cat was unimpressed. My cat scratches the rope column regularly and it is showing only minimal signs of wear.As far as the woven paper construction, if I had a kitty that gnawed on things or scratched at it a lot, I'm not sure how long the paper weaving would last. It's good quality workmanship and very sturdy, but paper is still paper, so keep that in mind when thinking about your cat's personal habits. The base is sturdy and seems like it would take some work to tip over. I mean, not for me, but for the cat. I could probably tip it over pretty easily but then I'd have to pick it back up so you'll have to just suppose on that one with me.Also, it did not smell bad or like chemicals at all when it arrived, which my cat and I both appreciated immensely. Not having to set it outside for a week to air out was definitely a bonus.Overall, this is probably my favorite cat tree that I've ever purchased. It genuinely looks nice and the cat enjoys it. 10/10 for us!

Finally a cat condo that doesn't look like my mothers 1972 carpet! It takes up surprisingly little floor space, super easy set up, sturdy, and has garnered many surprised compliments and queries of "Where did you find that??" (Hey, Petpals--perhaps a referral fee for me? 😏) We weren't sure if she would use the bottom cubby, and she didn't show an interest in it at first. I purchased the 12" BESROY silverfish catnip toy (😏) and placed it in there and she pounced immediately. Now she tucks herself in there waiting for the dog to pass by. I've washed the perch fleece pillow a few times with no problems. The 1st "floor" does not have a fleece insert--it is part of the bottom covering, but is soft and padded well. I tucked this in front of a window so my 18 year old Maine Coon can drool at the chickadees and red squirrels feasting at our bird feeders (and apparently squirrel feeders now, too.) This hits right at the window ledge where I place her food dish. This serves 2 purposes: 1. It keeps my SHih Tzu from scarfing down the cat food, and 2. The cat can eat while plotting how she will capture the little delicacies that are fattening themselves up outside. Nice product!
