There is nothing wrong with the product, it just didn’t work for my dogs needs. My senior male dog has weak shaky back legs. He needs help going for walks, but more importantly needs help peeing/pooping. He gets off balance and will fall over. This rear harness didn’t provide enough support for what I needed. It’s also slightly awkward with the stomach strap for male dogs. I bought a lift harness instead and that works better for my needs. If your dog doesn’t need as much support, this product might work better for you.

Pugs, French bulldogs, (many of similar breed) are built slightly different, and with Myelopathy - they are even smaller, after a time, in the behind area (sort of like a triangle). To keep the back portion on her back VS too close to her tail, we had to attach the back part to her chest harness to keep it from sliding down too much (even with all the adjustments). Other then that, Myla had her first walk, much more normal, in about a year, and was heck of a happy pooch!! She has walked, but it was a carry to grass, and then she sort of hopped, skipped, dragged her back end, now we can help her when she fails in the back until her wheelies come :-)

This is a well made harness which is easy to use. My dog lost the use of her back legs and having this harness has made taking her out for comfort breaks easier.

Our 20lb female mixed dog hurt her back and was completely paralyzed. At 6 weeks she seemed to gain some feeling in her feet and a little movement in her legs, at 9 weeks out from her injury, she hasn't shown any new improvement. Carrying her in and outside was killing our backs and she didn't like it either. As soon as I put this on her and asked her if she wanted to go outside, she ran to the door and down the deck steps and into the grass to go potty. Easy peasy. She then walked all around the property and got her first real exercise since she got hurt. It seems to be comfortable for her and a lot more comfortable for us. We bought her a cart, but she can't go in and out of the house with it because of the steps. With this, we can walk outside together, no carrying. Also, the leg loops don't seem to have any use for her, it seems like the nice comfortable strap around her waist is doing all the work so I may take them off. The handle on top is awesome and the fact that the "leash" hooks in two spots instead of just one makes a big difference in the harness staying level on her back. Also, we really appreciate the long leash so it works for both me and my tall husband. I have a bad back and thought that lifting a 20lb dog around while she walked would be hard on me. I was a amazed at how easy it is, I guess the dog is doing most of the work! Lastly, I am really grateful that this was so affordable as we have spent a ton of money trying to rehab her and getting a quality product at a great price that saves us so much work is a real relief.
