I LOVE these bottle because baby has to be actively sucking for milk to come out. The cap can be completely off, you can dump the bottle upside down and no milk will spill out. It doesn’t matter if you have a size 1 or 5 nipple. This is great for breastfeeding and paced bottle feeding.

No leaks. Wash up nicely in dish washer. Fits onto my Spectra S1 breast pump. Baby easily goes from bottle to breast. Does not make him more gassy. Far better than Dr. Brown's because of only having four simple pieces: bottle, nipple, collar, and lid. My last baby I had a Medela pump and the Medela bottles and the darn yellow collars would smash if dropped, drove me crazy. I have purchased three sets plus got an extra one at motherhood maternity in the free gift they gave you. If one of them gets lost or broken I would buy them again.

These Avent Natual Bottles are perfect if you're a breastfeeding mother. The "Stage 1 - Slow Flow" nipples that are included are still too fast of a flow for my exclusively breastfed 4 month-old, however. I fixed that by ordering the "Stage 0 - First Flow" nipples, which are technically for preemies. I had initially bought the Avent Classic Bottles which come with Stage 1 nipples which were waaay too fast of a flow. I found out afterwards that Avent doesn't make Stage 0 nipples for the Classic - so, that's why I went with the Natural. (First-time mom, had no idea how to choose bottles for daycare. SO much to figure out!) I'm planning to breastfeed for at least a year and I really want to keep the baby from developing a complete bottle preference. With the Stage 1, my baby would guzzle down 4 ounces in like 5-7 minutes - just crazy! His pace of eating is so much better with the Stage 0 nipples, more like 3 ounces in 10 or so minutes and the slower flow gives him time to realize he's full before overeating. Less spit up, less wasted milk, happier baby and happier mommy! Win-win-win-win. Now, my son's daycare provider, my husband and other family can feed my son easily and I don't worry about baby spitting up or precious breast milk being wasted.I find it sort of annoying that these bottles are in 3-packs and nipples are sold in 2-packs, but it was still totally worth it to me. The nipples are cheap and I have a spare. Side note: My mom already had Dr. Brown's bottles (from my nephew), so I ordered her Dr. Brown's preemie nipples for when she babysits. My son has no problem going between these Avent Natural bottles and Dr. Brown's bottles.

These bottles are a lifesaver. When my son started daycare, I would send in bottles but always had milk thrown out because he would refuse the bottle. As soon as we switched him over to these bottles, he seemed to completely change his temperament regarding bottle feeding. I thought maybe it was just coincidence, but I was able to confirm at home that for some reason he didn't like the other bottles (from various other brands) and these are the only ones that would work for him. Obviously each child will be different, but for us these have been working great. They're nice and compact (he's breastfed so he only takes in about 3-4 oz in a sitting) and the nipple is wide making it more like breastfeeding.

These Avent bottles are the best! We've used both the classic and the newer "natural" bottles with our sons. I prefer the natural style bottles better as they are easier to hold while feeding the baby and the nipple is shaped more like you'd find on a breast. We tried a variety--even store brands-- and these bottles were the ones that helped to keep air from getting into our son's tummy.I will tell you, I decided to purchase these thinking that having a blue bottle would be cute. While it is cute, you can find the "blue" natural and classic advent bottles for MUCH cheaper at Babies R'Us. I know, shocking--I find babies r'us to be a little on the expensive side most of the time. I purchased these from Amazon due us having a gift certificate. I'm not going to send them back, but the price is WAY OVER inflated. You can get them at Babies R' Us for $21.99, plus a coupon would make it even better.
