Know your flow! My son is 3 months old. We have been using the flow size 2 nipples since birth but I noticed he wasn’t really drinking anymore than 2 and a half, maybe 3 ounces—even at 3 months when I feel like he should be drinking at least 4 or 5 ounces. As a first time mom, I will admit I was unaware of the different size nipples that Philips Avent offers so my baby was probably working really hard to get the milk out and would just get tired which explained why he wasn’t drinking more. I was looking at the Philips Avent Nipple Flow Size Chart and age recommendations. They recommend using flow size 4 for babies 3 months and older so I skipped the flow size 3 and purchased the flow size 4 since my baby is just over 3 months. Well, that was a bad idea. I changed the nipples in his bottle (which was super easy to do!) and gave it to him, but the flow was far too much for him—milk was getting all over his face and his clothes and he immediately refused the bottle. So I went back and ordered Flow Size 3 which is recommended for babies 1+ month and they worked! My baby is a lot more comfortable with the level of flow that the milk is coming out at, he’s not choking, he’s not making a complete mess, and he’s now drinking 4 ounces because the milk is coming easier without as much jaw work. I really do love these bottles and nipples. I love that they absolutely will not leak unless the baby pulls on the nipple to draw out the liquid. I also haven’t really had any issues with air bubbles creating colic or gas. But it is definitely important to KNOW THE FLOW size your babies need! Dont just go off of the recommendation that Philips makes in their chart. A size 4 may be too much for your 3 month old and, like in my case, they need to develop stronger swallow and neck control before using that level of flow. Don’t be afraid to order two sizes to try them out and you can always return the ones that don’t quite work as well for them right now, or you can just save the nipples for when they’re a bit bigger and ready, like we did for our son.

Okay, these nipples are amazing once you figure them out. At first, I was like, “Why is my baby struggling with this?” But it just takes a little adjustment. They’re designed to mimic breastfeeding, so the flow isn’t constant—it’s baby-controlled, which is genius.My little guy loves them now, and I’ve noticed way less gas and fussiness after feeds. The anti-colic design really works. Super easy to clean, too, which is a bonus when you’re sleep-deprived and don’t have time for complicated stuff. Best nipples ever, hands down.

These were the only bottles and nipples are son would take. Worth the money. Hole size is nice. Comfortable for son, the quality is great. No leakage.

Las compré para mi bebé de 2 meses, me funcionaron muy bien de noche que es cuando comen dormidos, ya que de día si tenía mucha hambre terminaba enojado por lo lento que sale, considerar este dato importante
