You're better off with the Cosmos. It has a large, all the way around the pin magnet. Not like this cheapo weight pin. Same price, almost.

I used as a pin on my Allen Sports 2-Bike Hitch Racks. I figured I would just give it a shot.... the magnets do not really hold it in, but the snug fit does... friction would probably not let this slide out. I did this so I could use one hand getting the pin out vs two hands on the safety pin that came with the rack.... so when I grocery shopping it is quicker. I do not travel far so I would use this for short trips with bikes on rack, but probably not a long trip, so I keep the old safety pin in the cargo area of SUV.I have an expectation the cord will rust and fall off in the future... I'll cross that road when I get there.

Idiots steal those pins for nor reason, can't use it much anywhere else. You want to use a machine and you have to start hunting for a pin. So I got my own one.
