I have a Fenwick 13.5' rod that is 32 years old I just love, but could never find a multiple rod holder case to protect it! Well those days are over this case is very strong and even held up to my grand children playing with it (apparently they think it's a rocket worth riding). Wives never pay attention to what the kids are into in the man cave. Any way if this case can hold up to them one afternoon with only scrapes to show for it, I won't give the airport a second thought. Recommend this case to any traveler or grand parent out there. Wet lines people!

I purchased this tube for two purposes. The first is to store my fishing rods when I am not using them and second to provide a safe, secure means of transporting them. This case is perfect for both needs. The case is made of heavy-duty plastic with two locking hasps. The rod case does expand but requires some detective work, as there are no instructions with the case. In spite of its heavy-duty construction, users should remember to handle the case with care.The 64-inch minimum length accommodates my two-piece rods. My crew cab pickup truck has a cap with a 60-inch bed. When I put the rod case in the bed at an angle, it fits with little effort.Please note that the diameter in the product description is the outside dimension. The tube has a 3 ¾ inch inside diameter. The cap of the tube has foam padding but no padding for the rods. I packed each of my rods in White River fly rod covers. In this configuration, I am able to pack three spinning rods and two bait casting rods securely in the case. The rods are two-piece and range in length from 6-foot through 7-foot when assembled.I am very pleased with the case. I plan to purchase a second case for my remaining rods.
