These cute little bowls are small, so don’t expect to be putting in an actual meal inside of them. They’re not rice bowls, but they are perfect for putting dipping sauces like soy sauce, ketchup, etc. etc. I do not think they are dishwasher so they don’t seem to be. I will have to check vendors notes more closely, but they’re easy to hand wash second I think they probably would chip fairly easily if you had them around with other dishes, but they’re you can store them out of the way if you’re looking for little dishes, then I think you found what you’re looking for.

These are attractive dishes perfect for small snacks, condiments, or sauces. They have a good design and weight for the size. One thing I noticed right away is that the sides of the bowl are slightly different in the amount of blue on each (see picture). The way it is shown on Amazon, 3 bowls and the 4th with sauce -- if you look closely it is a duplicate of one photo of an empty bowl three times and one photo of a bowl with sauce. There is some variety from dish to dish in that part of the spray pattern. My daughter thought it looked more 'natural', and it did not bother me but I point it out should it matter to someone else. The website notes Country of Origin as China (Japanese style only, not made in), but I noticed there was no stamp on the bottom like most of my dishes with the maker or 'Lead-Free.' With a quick search, I could find no information about Cerficer (the manufacturer). In the past ceramic dishes have been problematic in certain instances due to a high lead or other heavy metal content (not good for food consumption). There is no indication of lead-free (or even 'Food Safe') and third-party testing as with an American brand of dishes that I have. So in the end, I think these dishes are really cute but I would not use these or get a whole set for daily food consumption.
