This is a great and solid device! Clear and crisp video audio and more. Connected 3x4k 27” monitors, 10 Mbps LAN Thunderbolt adapter, USB Keyboard/Mouse and USB fan. All works solidly. It gets pretty hot (>90 degrees while using in my setup), so I keep a fan on it and on the LAN card as it also gets hot (this is normal). I added an external heat sink to keep it cool and it stays cool to the touch.

This is my 2nd dock from pluggable - the first one was a smaller version. Since I had the driver already loaded from the first pluggable dock, this new dock worked seamlessly as soon as I plugged it in. I have tried others from other companies selling on Amazon and they just dont work as well as pluggable - this saves me a lot of pain and it really works right out of the box. Just make sure you follow the directions of setting up and they provide a cable that has to be used from the pluggable device to your Macbook. My Macbook with the M1 chip does not allow multiple windows on external terminals but pluggable has figured out how to view different windows through the installation fo their driver which enables the viewing of different windows on different terminals. This model allows 4 external terminals and I have attached two external monitors and my larger screen TV, which I had to use the display link port on the pluggable and not the HDMI - this is done to stream on TV as well if you want to - if you use HDMI ports on the pluggable that will not allow you to stream on the TV - and for that matter it wont allow streaming on my my two monitors that I have connected through HDMi ports to the pluggable dock. It's a minor inconvenience but it has to do with copyrights I assume with the streaming channels and probably Apple, once you install the driver that is required to run the pluggable dock. To hook the TV to the pluggable you will have to purchase a cable that has an HDMI outlet on one end to plug into the TV and a USB C outlet on the other end to connect into the display link pluggable connection. A great buy and a fantastic product!

My Dell Inspiron laptop has only one Thunderbolt 4 downstream port. I have 2 Philips 27 Inch 4K monitors and a Crucial SSD drive that I wanted to connect through the dock. Also wanted USB ports for USB A and USB C connectors. I currently have my laptop connected to the upstream T4 port and all 3 downstream T4 ports connected to the 2 monitors and SSD drive. Its working perfectly so far. Other reviews have complained that the unit runs too hot. I have mine sitting on a corner of the shelf above the desk and it is warm but not hot, so that eases my concern about that. However, I would avoid placing anything on top of the dock. I used the T4 ports to connect the monitors rather than HDMI so that I would not need to install the DisplayPort software, so I have not tried that method of connecting the monitors. That's all I have used so far. So far so good. The upstream connector for T4 to the laptop is located on the right side of the unit. This allows me to unplug my power adapter and leave that in my case for use only when I travel. Only unplugged it recently, but so far seems to be doing a good job of supplying power to the laptop which doesn't draw the whole 100W available. The connector on the side is a bit unusual and makes cable management a bit trickier especially if the T4 connector on your laptop is not on the left side. However, I suppose a valid solution for that is to flip the dock unside down so the connector is on the right side.Plan to use the USB A connectors on the front for other sometimes connected stuff like my iPhone 15 etc which has enough power delivery to charge the phone. My Logitech Unified receiver is plugged into a laptop USB-A port so that it stays with the laptop when I unplug from the dock, so I have lots of USB-A ports remaining.

This is not the cheapest box but you pay for quality.I've been looking for TB 4 doc station for a while, so far I'm very happy with this box.I working with two external monitors (1xUSB-C, 1xHDMI), I have my headphones Bluetooth USB-C and another small USB-C port extension. Also USB-A external HDD, and still ports available like jack and SD card slot. But the best part is ease of use. I just connected it and it worked out of the box.Seamless switching between two different laptops. So far so good! And recommended.

I really like this dock; it has changed how I use my Mac and simplified my desktop setup and cabling.PROS:- With this dock, you can use more than 2 monitors with an Apple silicon Mac. I have a Mac with M1 chip and previously was limited to two displays. With this dock and the DisplayLink driver for macOS installed, I now have a triple monitor setup for the Mac. The DisplayLink driver was easy to install, and the only thing I had to do afterward was adjust the monitor layout.- The dock comes with a separate Thunderbolt 4 cable, so you're not stuck using a too-short built-in cable.- There are plenty of ports; 3x Thunderbolt/USB-C ports on the back and 2x 10Gbps USB-A on the front.- The dock comes with a good separate power supply with more than adequate power, and almost 100W can be delivered to your laptop via the dock. Docking a laptop can be as easy as plugging in the single Thunderbolt cable, if everything else on your desk is connected to the dock.- The dock has a power button, so I can shut off the dock in order to disable the additional displays and other connected devices, instead of having to unplug from the dock. This is useful to me because I also share two of the monitors with a Windows PC under my desk, so those monitors aren't always used as additional Mac monitors; sometimes I use 2x Windows and 1x Mac simultaneously.- The dock doesn't run hot; it is large enough and made of metal and heat seems to dissipate well. The dock never got too hot to touch.- The integrated card reader and headphone jack at the front are conveniently located.CONS:- The Ethernet adapter is limited to 1Gbps. At this price point and coming from Plugable especially, I would have loved to see at least 2.5Gbps LAN support. There's enough bandwidth, and Plugable makes such adapters, so they could've integrated something better than 1Gbps, yawn. If you're slinging very large files around your network, you may have already upgraded your LAN to multi-gig. The 1Gbps port on this dock is, IMHO, the biggest miss for a premium product like this -- I'm surprised no other reviewer has mentioned it yet. (Plugable, please consider 2.5Gbps the minimum acceptable LAN port for future products. kthx)- There's no USB-A port at the back, and no USB-C port at the front. They ought to have both kinds of port at front & back. USB-A at back would be handy for plugging in a keyboard & mouse dongle. I ended up using a USB-C to USB-A adapter to hide that dongle at the back.- I wish the primary Thunderbolt port that connects the dock to a computer wasn't on the side. Having to stick a cable in the side means additional space is needed to the right of the dock, space in my monitor stand's shelf that could be put to better use. I couldn't use a right-angled Thunderbolt 4 cable that I already own because that port on the dock is slightly recessed, so I have to use the cable that came with the dock, but that's a straight connector and I'm wasting 2.5" of space to the right of the dock as a result, so that cable isn't bent too close to the connector.- At just under CAD $400 at the time of my review, this is an expensive product. It delivers, especially on the additional displays front for Apple silicon Macs. With respect to Windows, IMHO you'll mainly be interested in this if you want additional Thunderbolt ports on a Windows box that supports it; i.e. if you don't have Thunderbolt, this is overkill.
