Needed something to protect my head when I duck under 1/8" hardboard fascia. It scalped me once and don't want that again. This protector is a perfect fit. It was easy to install; place it, cut it, then remove the backing for the adhesive and there will be no issues. It conformed to the shape of the hardboard with no puckering. Came packaged nicely rolled up in a plastic bag inside a carboard box. I was able to install it right away, no waiting for anything to uncurl.

While the trim looks good, applying it is a pain due to the adhesive and backing used.The trim must be held spread wider than the edge to which it is being applied. If the backing catches on the edge being protected, it will scrunch up inside the trim and the adhesive will also come off of that spot (and stay with the backing when pulled out). The backing was wrinkled just enough that it could not slide onto the edge without keeping it spread along the whole edge; each mistake resulted in an area with little or no adhesive.When removing the backing, even when pulling it at as close of an angle to the trim, it was likely to take an inch or two of adhesive from the start, which was frustrating to try to put back so the end was at least somewhat adhered in place. At random points along the way, where the backing had kinked due to unrolling the rubber, it also would take a couple of inches of adhesive with it when it was pulled out, and getting this back where it should be meant peeling some that had been adhered so the adhesive could be stuffed back into place.I don't know if it's just me, but the adhesive sticks better to me and any tool I tried than it sticks to the rubber or the surface near the edge I am trying to protect.
