This lamp is really beautiful and unique, and the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it’s not as black as the photos show - it’s more of a pewter color with almost a silver sheen to it which isn’t ideal for my space. I was having a hard time finding a lamp I liked that was the right height for the space so I am keeping it, even though the color isn’t exactly as I’d like and it’s a tad wide for my little end table. I used a lamp shade I had vs what it came with only because it goes with other items in my space better. I don’t necessarily love this shade with this lamp, but for now it will do. Hopefully the photos show the color I’m trying to describe. It is a really beautiful lamp so I would recommend it. (the lamp shade it comes with is nice but does have a visible velcro seam once you assemble it which I don’t love. It also has a silver ball screw top and silver doesn’t go in my space, which was another reason for swapping out the shade).

I received today a table lamp I ordered but the lampshade is missing.

So, the manufacturer's pictures don't show the texture of the shade or the fact that the finial color is nickel and not the same as the base, and the base itself is a metallic flat iron color, not just a dark grey. And I was already worried about the Velcro lampshade thing.So I opened the package and was surprised by all that. And not happy honestly. When I grasped the neck of the lamp to put it together I noticed that my hands left residue (as if I had just put lotion on and grabbed it). But I decided to put it together and I don't know now.I like the shape. The fabric of the shade will work well enough. But the finishes might be a deal breaker. On the one hand, I could spray paint base and the finial. On the other: I really don't want to have to do that with a full priced new lamp.As for the velcro lampshade thing. Seams on standard lampshades sometimes bother me. So the thick seam here with the overlap... as bad as I feared. That said, since the shade is an oval, it may still work in my bedroom. I just have to decide how much it bothers me.I can't say I am going to keep the two I bought (I didn't unpack the other one). Mostly because of the finishes. But, I also am tired of looking at lamps. And I do love the shape of them so... we'll see.Still, I am only giving it three stars because I feel the manufacturer's images of the finishes and the shade texture/fabric are misleading.

This is a really unusual modern but natural looking table lamp. I was glad to see it wasn't too small like many on the market, but suitable as a side table light in a living room, office, or bedroom. I ordered this for my office, and it looks great! What is surprising is the stone-like base looks so wide from the front, but when you turn it to the side it's super slim, which is unexpected, but not unattractive. The base is still pretty sturdy, but with such a slim base, if knocked firmly you might be able to topple it, although generally it should be fine. The lampshade comes disassembled, but was easy to put together. The shade material snaps in along the edges of metal strips hooped around at the top and the bottom, overlapping slightly at the back. The surface of the base is smooth, and the color almost looks like a super dark gray or black with a muted silvery shimmer from certain angles. Not your usual lamp, but pretty cool. I would mention that I prefer a brighter white light bulb in this lamp over the more yellow softer bulb (shown in the attached image), because a more white color complements the base better, and the yellow look, even though I like vintage styles, looks a little dated and dingy with this lamp.

In the pictures I thought the base was round. These lamps are not round. They are thin from the side and fat from the front. Like a flattened circle with neck. The color is actually more of a metallic charcoal not black. And the shades are ok. I am not as thrilled as I had hoped, but they are nice enough and will do the job.
