The first chuck that I received was way out of true. It wobbled so bad that I didn't even have to put an indicator on it. By eye I could tell that the runout was at least 60 thou. I requested a replacement with pretty low expectations, but WOW what a difference! The replacement chuck runs perfectly. The detected runout is three 10ths. Like the first chuck the quality is better than what you would expect for the price ($35). The threads are well machined and smooth, and the finish is nice and clean. I would give the second chuck 5 stars, and the first a 1. That's why the 4 stars.The description does lack some valuable information, the spec sheet references dimensions that are not associated with any drawing or photo. The bolt hole circle is 66 mm, the register is 55 mm with a depth of 6.5 mm. There are three threaded M6 holes. The first chuck had a loose 55 mm register (about five 10ths play), the second is a tight 55 mm.My only complaint with this chuck is that there is only one tommy bar hole.The differences between the first chuck and the replacement are like night and day. If you receive one like the second one that I received, you will be thrilled with what you get for the price. I highly recommend the replacement chuck!

I had to remachine the taper and once I did that it was within .0005" TIR. Right out of the box it was within .007" TIR. It is advertised to be .005" TIR. I was okay doing this, not a big deal.Anyway, I like the way it works... post machining ;)

Haven't fitted it yet but it seems nicely made, clean grinding, nut spins smoothly.
