Not as good as Sufix 832. Wind knots are more. Thicker than sufix 832. Also casting distance is less. Tried both and this is my experience

Been using Sufix 838 for years but started to get more wind nots as my fishing time on the water increased. I loaded up a reel with the new stuff and boy what a difference. This line is not as limp as 323 but doesn’t seem to have memory and it definitely casts way farther than the other lines I have used.We’ll see how long the color lasts before it starts to fade.

I keep trying other brands but keep coming back to the more expensive super slick. Nothing else is as smooth or quiet on the reels as this. It does fray a little more than the other brands with heavy use but not enough to cause concern or change my mind about this brand. I use this in freshwater brush piles and saltwater on the beach and in the rocks. If I had a heavy use day where there was a lot of rock rubbing or weed in the water I check the first 20' of line after my trip for frays. If there is one that is generally where it is.
