We have an expensive, "full-size" name-brand wheel that our three-year-old has had since about 6mo old. At age 3, she's petite - only 7.5 lbs - and she makes the big, brand-name wheel GO. That wheel, however, is quite a lot for a very young cat, so we purchased the Primachen 31.5" one here for a trio of 4-mo olds we just adopted.The good:Installation was fairly simple and quickThe single piece of carpet, as opposed to individual sections, was really nice.It is sturdy!It is QUIET, like oh wow I cannot believe how quiet in contrast with what we're used to.What could improve:Snapping the wheel sections together was not hard, but it was a stiff fit. Our thumbs were a little tired afterwards.The kittens are taking to it well, and I'd gladly buy another and/or one like this in a larger size!

The size is good, and it was relatively easy to put together. It took about 10 minutes. I had difficulty getting the Velcro carpeting on without bunching or overlapping. The wheel spins, but makes noise when it gets to one part of the wheel each time. It seems a bit rickety and I'm not sure if my cat will trust it enough to try it. I know I need to train her. The laser pointer it came with (to help encourage the cat to get on) did not work.

I ordered this for my 2 ferrets. One of them plays in it occasionally but the other one ignores it, (but that might be because he only has three legs). I've seen videos of other ferret owners whose ferrets love these, so I figured it was worth a try. Even though my ferrets aren't crazy about it, it's nice looking, very well put together and quite and I think I chose the right wheel and size. (31.3")
