This screen door roller with tension spring was the perfect replacement for the original one that broke after getting corroded. Installation in the screen door frame was quick and easy, the most difficult part was to unscrew the old tension spring as rust had seized up the screw threads. The sliding screen door now slides perfectly again.

These have been installed for a few months now and they are still working very well. Installation was a bit tricky but be patient and persistent and you can get them in. Just be sure to notice how the old ones are positioned before removing them.

Was trying to install a new screen door which came along with new sliders that were installed a year ago at my rental. This new screen door had cheap plastic rollers with springs that kept popping out and we're pretty much useless for the top rollers. I ordered this instead and it worked perfectly. I had to make one minor modification in that when I put these new rollers in the top channel, they still stuck up a little higher than the top of the door when fully flexed down. All I had to do was make a little bend in the metal right where the roller is and it worked like a charm. Very happy!

Old sliding screen door not sliding. Great that you can get anything on Amazon. One screw driver and a little bit of time it works like new.

Not sure why I fought with my screen for years before replacing the rollers. I always thought it was merely an adjustment needed, until the wheel actually broke. These replacement wheels are metal. They glide smooth and clean. I should have replaced them long ago. Installation may be a bit tricky but you can figure it out once you slide it into place. No adjustment needed.
